Public Vault Documentation

Created a public GitBook and per-vault documentation, so users can find TAU Labs' vaults, understand the vault types, and learn about the risk framework.

The Problem

Vault curation is a power-law distributed market, where the three biggest curators manage 70%+ of TVL. Users feel safer depositing into vaults with higher TVL, which acts as social proof. How good a curator’s risk management really is shows during stress scenarios, which happen irregularly. Therefore, new curators have to communicate their risk management clearly to acquire TVL.

Approach

I created public documentation to showcase our vaults and risk curation expertise to DeFi users.

This includes:

  • Vault List: Up-to-date information about TAU’s vaults with key data points easily accessible.
  • Per-vault documentation: Vaults come with detailed strategy explainers, informing potential depositors about the underlying strategy, parameters and their reasoning, and associated risks.
  • Vault Types: For users to understand how TAU’s different strategies function and what their general risks are.
  • Risk Framework: Explanation of TAU’s risk management practices, targeted towards retail users.
  • Stress Events: A list of DeFi stress events and how TAU Labs managed them.
